Pathology
- Place : tongue, gums, cheek, palate, lips, nostrils, muzzle, teats, udder, snout, hooves
- Symptoms : pyrexia, anorexia, shivering, reduction in milk production for 2-3 days, grinding of teeth, drooling, lameness, stamping/kicking of feet, death of young stock
- Clinically indistinguishable from vesicular stomatitis (rhabdovirus), swine versicular disease (enterovirus similar to Coxsackie B5), vesicular exanthema of swine (Calici virus)
- Similar to rinderpest (paramyxovirus), infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (Herpesvirus), Bluetongue (Reovirus), Bovine viral diarrhea (Flavivirus)
